About Us
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. Our nearly 150 schools offer a wide range of programs to promote learning excellence and meet the individual needs of students, parents, and the community at large. Our schools are teaching communities where principals, vice-principals, teachers and support staff nurture student well-being and challenge students to achieve their best.
We are seeking creative, dynamic, and committed teachers to join our team at Carleton Heights Public School.
Carleton Heights
Carleton Heights is a vibrant K-6 community where diversity is celebrated as our greatest strength and every student is met with deep empathy. We prioritize emotional safety through trauma-informed care and restorative practices, ensuring every child feels secure and connected. Academically, we provide a rigorous foundation through structured literacy and a balanced math approach that fosters both conceptual depth and procedural mastery. Educators at CHPS require unique skills to balance the social and emotional needs of our learners, while also holding them to rigorous expectations and standards.
Ideal candidates will support the fulfillment of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board’s (OCDSB) Strategic Plan to enhance the quality of education in the school, and the District, by creating a positive and inclusive school climate, learning and workplace setting. Candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and respectfully, with a human rights and equity perspective, to foster student success, achievement and well-being.
