This posting is to fill (1) permanent position with Continuing Care at Alexander McDonald Lodge in Dawson City working 12-hour shift rotations including day and night shifts. It will also be used to establish a 12‑month eligibility list, which may be used to fill future term and permanent vacancies.
The position is based in Dawson City , a vibrant and diverse northern community in the Yukon .

Alexander McDonald Lodge (AML) in Dawson City, YT is a 15-bed long-term care home that provides person-centered care to individuals who need varying levels of intermediate care support with daily living activities. Eligible for registration as a licensed practical nurse in Canada
Considerable experience providing nursing care in a clinical setting
Recent applied knowledge of nursing theory, practices and techniques
Recent applied knowledge and experience in medication administration in a clinical setting
Desired Skills and Suitability:

Ability to provide leadership and coaching to members of the team

Job requirements:
Heavy lifting (50lbs and over), standing, bending, reaching
