Work Location This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The work schedule for this role is 7x7 (rotating days and nights).
For those not living locally, BHP provides relocation assistance to the local Jansen area. Alternatively,



you can enjoy the convenience and comfort of our onsite camp accommodation at Discovery Lodge during your shifts.
BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.
The Challenge Ahead Reporting to the Superintendent Electrical & Instrumentation, this role provides leadership to a team or teams focused on the management and delivery of maintenance execution activities (executing planned and unplanned maintenance activities within the hoisting, shafts, and underground mining environment).
In this role, you will:
Ensure safe, quality work execution of trades and contractors
Drive business improvement through the measurement of BHP's performance
Plan, schedule, execute and review maintenance work orders and activities to maximize efficient production across BHP
Prepare for and execute maintenance activities, carry out post execution tasks and eliminate defects to facilitate reliable and efficient maintenance operations across BHP
Control contamination across the organization through structured and disciplined handling, storage and disposal of consumables and contaminants
Define shutdown objectives, scope and schedules, mobiles shutdown resources, and executes shutdown activities to safeguard production and maintain the safety of maintenance operations at BHP
Translate corporate objectives into actionable plans, communicating, managing and analyzing the implementation of those plans, and reporting back on their progress to facilitate the delivery of our strategy
Identify and assess risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
Support the management of vendor/customer selection, contracts, and performance to maximize operational and financial outcomes and mitigate BHP's exposure to risk
What You’ll Bring to the Role Saskatchewan Journeyperson in Electrical or Instrumentation
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is considered an asset
Red Seal Certification




Certified Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW)
Demonstrated experience in managing teams and overseeing projects
Experience in potash mining is an added advantage
Aptitude for building and maintaining strong relationships
