Your opportunity:
Performs core admissions and registrarial duties by advising prospective students, applicants, and stakeholders on admissions criteria and processes, and applying established standards to ensure consistent evaluation of applications. The role involves assessing domestic and international academic credentials, including complex equivalency determinations, and contributing to admissions planning through analysis of application data.
The Admissions Officer applies institutional policies and procedures to support consistent and defensible decision-making,



ensures adherence to transfer credit guidelines, and contributes to process improvements and audit readiness.

Your responsibilities will include:

Advising potential applicants, students, parents, and/or guidance counsellors on admissions criteria and processes by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences

Providing detailed information regarding admission requirements to prospective students and applicants

Applying established standards when administering a process for consistent evaluation of applications

Analyzing statistical information to inform admissions projections and planning activities

Analyzing domestic academic documents to assess credentials against University equivalencies

Analyzing foreign academic documents to assess credentials against Canadian equivalencies. Analyzing documents to assess and verify their authenticity.

Tracking departmental transfer assessment decisions

Developing content for instructional workshops and facilitating educational workshops and seminars

Essential Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.

Minimum four (4) years of relevant experience in admissions, student records, or registrarial services.

Experience in domestic and international credential assessment.

Experience in transfer credit evaluation and processing.

Experience applying and interpreting academic policies and procedures in decision-making.

Experience working with student information systems (e.g. ROSI) and CRM platforms (e.g. Slate), including advanced functionality.

Experience working with data sets,



including identifying and resolving discrepancies.

Experience developing content for and facilitating educational workshops and seminars.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong systems aptitude, including workflow-based processing and troubleshooting within enterprise systems.

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of supporting data integrity and consistency across integrated systems.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a collegial manner with applicants, students, office colleagues, staff and faculty.

Strong customer service orientation.

Demonstrated commitment to student-centered service, equity, diversity and inclusion.

Excellent organizational, problem solving and time managment skills.

Robust attention to detail and solid analytical skills are required.

Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak periods.
