Become a Regulatory Analyst with the Alberta Utilities Commission, where you will analyze utility applications and support decision-making processes. This role is permanent and full time in a collaborative environment.

As a Regulatory Analyst within the Rates Division, you will work on processing rate-related applications critical to Alberta’s utility services. You will be part of multi-disciplinary teams, providing research and analysis that guides Commission members in decision-making. The role also involves technical support for complex proceedings and promoting regulatory efficiency in the electricity and natural gas sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze various utility applications and make recommendations
• Develop written records for regulatory proceedings




• Assist in drafting decision reports with Commission members
• Provide research on energy-related issues and regulatory practices
• Contribute to initiatives for efficient regulation

Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in economics, business, or engineering
• Two years of regulatory or utility industry experience preferred
• Familiarity with cost-of-service and performance-based regulation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and in teams
