Grand Council Treaty #3 seeks a full time Community Corrections Worker dedicated to culturally-rooted support. Collaborate with probation and parole officers to assist community members reintegrating into society.
This role focuses on helping individuals on probation, parole, or conditional sentences. You will offer trauma-informed case management and connect clients with essential community services, fostering pathways to reduce recidivism. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting Indigenous communities and embrace a culturally relevant approach.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide culturally-informed client case management
• Develop rehabilitation pathways through community support
• Organize culturally significant programs for clients
• Assist clients navigating the justice system
• Maintain a referral network of community mentors
Requirements:
• Degree or experience in Law, Social Work, or related fields
• Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and practices
• Experience in counseling and crisis intervention
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Support community members’ reintegration into society while respecting their cultural identity and needs.
