WILDNorth is the only full-scale wildlife rescue and rehabilitation organization in Northern

Alberta. We provide compassionate care to injured and orphaned wild animals and educate the public to be the first line of help. Our work depends on community support —

Role Overview

As a Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator, you’ll help grow WILDNorth’s donor base and support creative fundraising efforts that directly impact wildlife in need. You’ll work with our team to engage the community, build partnerships, and raise vital funds for rescue,

rehabilitation, and release.

Responsibilities

- Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns and events
- Reach out to local businesses for sponsorships, donations, or auction items




- Help create donor outreach materials (emails, thank-you notes, social media posts)
- Support online fundraising through platforms like CanadaHelps and social media
- Track donations and assist with donor recognition
- Represent WILDNorth as volunteer at events and fundraisers
- Brainstorm new fundraising ideas and community engagement strategies

Qualifications

- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable reaching out to individuals and businesses
- Passion for wildlife and environmental causes
- Experience in fundraising, marketing, or event planning is a plus (but not required)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
