KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Strategic & Annual Planning Support identification and drafting of opportunity assessments (initiatives) with business leaders and VP of PMO & BI to align with organizational goals.
Assess opportunities for feasibility, risks, and dependencies, applying sound judgment to complex or evolving opportunities.
Consider change impacts and organizational capacity when assessing initiatives to help prevent overlap, competing demands, or change fatigue.
Project Management Lead the delivery of complex, cross-functional projects or programs, ensuring alignment with approved scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and dependencies across multiple departments/divisions.
Own and manage project planning, governance, and delivery execution, exercising independent judgment to resolve issues, remove roadblocks, implement mitigation strategies and contingency plans, escalating only material risks.
Serve as the escalation point for project issues and support resolution through collaboration and structured decision-making.
Provide executive-level project reporting and decision support, including status, risk, change impacts, and clear recommendations tailored to the audience and level of leadership.
Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance without direct authority.
Ensure effective risk, issue, and quality management, including smooth transitions to operations, and measurement of post-implementation outcomes and benefits realization.
Oversee third-party vendors and contractors including contract negotiations and ensure delivery and contractual compliance.
Ensure all project documentation meets PMO standards and audit requirements; capture lessons learned to strengthen delivery practices.
Develop detailed implementation plans to ensure solutions are ready for deployment and remain aligned to approved project scope, requirements, and governance artifacts.
Lead the development of an Operationalization (transfertobusiness) document, ensuring clear handoff of ownership, processes, controls, and support models to enable business readiness and reduce postimplementation issues.
Manage post-implementation review activities to evaluate project outcomes, capture lessons learned, and ensure benefits are realized.
Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive sponsors, to ensure engagement, alignment, and buy-in.
Act as a strategic advisor to business leaders, IT/Digital teams, and vendors by facilitating decision making, evaluating options, to support effective solution delivery.
Support complex business process analysis and redesign to enable scalable, efficient, and future-ready operations.
Oversee the translation of business needs into functional requirements and manage scope and changes throughout the solution lifecycle across multiple stakeholder groups.
Support build-versus-buy assessments and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm solutions meet approved business requirements and quality standards.
Lead stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops, steering committee sessions, and interviews to identify opportunities, inform and align diverse perspectives, clarify needs, and support decision making.
Change Management Support change-impact assessment, readiness planning, stakeholder-mapping, and integrate them into project plans and timelines early.
Coordinate change activities across departments and divisions to ensure alignment with delivery timelines and organizational capacity.
Work with stakeholders, senior leaders, and executives to influence adoption, address resistance, and support successful outcomes.
Identify opportunities to enhance change-adoption outcomes and support refinement of OCM processes.
Continuous Improvement Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance PMO processes, tools, and delivery practices.
Drive the consistent adoption and evolution of project management standards across the organization.
Mentor and coach Project Manager I peers, supporting PMO capability development and maturity.
Apply lessons learned to improve future project delivery outcomes and overall value realization. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE The competencies for the position would typically be acquired through a minimum of 7 years of progressive project management experience and a related post-secondary degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is required.
Business Analysis certification (CBAP) and Organizational Change Management training (e.g., Prosci, Kotter, or other) are considered robust assets.
Practical and operational business experience, knowledge within the financial services sector, or strong technical/ digital experience is required.
Additional formal certifications are preferred. KEY OCCUPATIONAL SKILLS Strong understanding and application of PMBOK practices within regulated environments Ability to lead complex, multi-stream projects or programs, managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, quality, and dependencies Strong portfolio-level judgment, including prioritization, sequencing, and trade-off analysis Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders without direct authority Advanced stakeholder engagement and executive-level communication skills including the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and levels of leadership.
Understanding of technological trends and the ability to apply them to deliver effective business solutions Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and oversee solution validation and user acceptance testing (UAT) Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical and systems thinking skills, with experience in business process redesign and solution enablement Demonstrated coaching and mentoring capability to support PMO maturity and peer development Experience managing thirdparty vendors, including contract and performance oversight Advanced knowledge in quality control and assurance processes, particularly related to leading testing and facilitation Strong continuous-improvement mindset, with the ability to strengthen project delivery standards, tools, and practices WHO WE ARE?
