FABRICATION & PREFAB COMMISSIONING LEAD We are looking for a Fabrication & Prefab Commissioning Lead to own commissioning and QA/QC of fabricated and self-performed mechanical and electrical assemblies produced in a fabrication shop environment and installed on a large mission-critical project.

This role creates a clean, documented bridge between shop fabrication and field installation, ensuring every assembly leaves the shop with a known and tested status.

This is a staff position within a newly formed commissioning team with genuine long-term career potential.

This position is at the site in Regina, Saskatchewan. 14 days on / 7 days off rotation.

Key Responsibilities Define and implement standard test procedures for all fabricated electrical and mechanical assemblies in the shop including visual, torque, continuity, insulation, and basic functional checks Own the fab-side L2 and L3 testing scope for self-performed assemblies including tagging and full documentation of pass/fail results and open items Issue consistent commissioning reports for each assembly detailing what was tested, what passed, what was deferred to site, and any defects that need resolution prior to or during installation Coordinate with the electrical and mechanical commissioning leads to define fabrication versus field test splits and ensure no duplication or gaps in scope Work with fabrication management to monitor and improve first-pass yield, rework rates,

and test failure trends with a focus on schedule and commissioning impact Support factory witness testing for modules where the fabrication shop is involved in integration or pre-assembly Enforce storage, handling, and protection standards that preserve equipment integrity and commissioning validity throughout the shop process What We Are Looking For Strong electrical foundation with practical hands-on experience in panel builds, skids, busway, and modular assemblies, plus willingness to expand into mechanical modules Hands-on commissioning, QA/QC, or testing experience in a fabrication, prefab, or mission-critical environment Ability to design and enforce repeatable test procedures and documentation standards rather than relying on ad hoc checks Comfort working in a shop setting and bridging into field commissioning with a clear understanding of how shop decisions affect site performance Decisive approach to quality willing to hold product in the shop when it is not ready for field and able to clearly articulate the reason why Preferred Qualifications 5+ years in electrical or mechanical fabrication, QA/QC, or commissioning in industrial plants, data centres, or similar environments Experience with prefabrication programs on large construction projects Familiarity with commissioning and quality tools such as Procore or equivalent QA/QC platforms Technical diploma or degree in electrical or mechanical technology or engineering, or equivalent field experience Current role split is approximately 70% electrical and 30% mechanical, evolving toward 55/45 as the project matures This role will both write and execute test procedures Industrial fabrication and commissioning experience is welcomed How To Apply: | Subject: Fabrication & Prefab Commissioning Lead
