What you'll do Lead the estimation process for various construction projects, ensuring all costs are accurately calculated and documented.
Analyze project plans, specifications, and other related documents to develop comprehensive cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information and clarify project requirements.
Prepare detailed bid proposals, including breakdowns of labor, materials, and overhead costs.
Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather relevant data for accurate estimations.
Monitor and evaluate project costs throughout the lifecycle, providing updates and recommendations as necessary.
Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure quality standards.




Utilize advanced estimation software and tools to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of cost assessments.
Participate in value engineering sessions to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Prepare and present estimates to stakeholders, addressing any questions or concerns regarding the proposed costs.
Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and labor costs to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
Mentor junior estimators and provide guidance on best practices in estimation and project management.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.
Proficiency in estimation software such as Sage Estimating, ProEst, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various stakeholders.




Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
Nice to have Professional certification such as Certified Estimating Professional (CEP) or similar credentials.
Experience with project management software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
Familiarity with building codes and regulations specific to the Arkansas region.
Knowledge of sustainable building practices and materials.
Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a construction team.
Skills & tools Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar design software for reviewing project plans.
Strong mathematical skills for accurate calculations and estimations.
Ability to adapt to current technologies and software as required by the role.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during the estimation process.
Practical notes This position is based in Springdale, Arkansas, and may require occasional travel to project sites.
