Empower Indigenous students towards holistic success as a Wellness Facilitator. This role emphasizes cultural identity and well-being, providing dedicated support for emotional and academic growth.

As a Wellness Facilitator, you will collaborate with school staff, families, and community partners to enhance student resilience and engagement. You will implement wellness strategies rooted in Indigenous teachings, monitor academic progress, and develop solutions to remove barriers. This role is vital for promoting equitable and inclusive education.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and group wellness support based on the Medicine Wheel
• Monitor attendance and academic progress, and propose improvement strategies




• Identify participation barriers and create actionable solutions
• Facilitate successful grade transition activities
• Engage students with Knowledge Keepers and Elders

Requirements:
• Degree in child and youth care or related field
• Four years of experience with Indigenous communities
• Knowledge of wellness modalities and cultural programs
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles
• Robust advocacy skills for youth services
