Job Description The Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and monitoring of production equipment within a manufacturing environment.
This role requires mechanical aptitude to perform machine setups, adjustments, and minor troubleshooting to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality.
The Production Operator plays a key role in maintaining equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production in a fast-paced manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to: Supports machine setup and changeovers including tooling installation, adjustments, and calibration to prepare equipment for production runs Operate high-volume manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently to meet daily production targets Monitor machine performance and make mechanical or operational adjustments to maintain product quality and output Troubleshoot minor mechanical, operational,
or process issues and escalate more complex problems to maintenance personnel Conduct routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance tasks to ensure machines operate reliably Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications and identify any defects or deviations Accurately record production data including output, downtime, scrap, and quality checks Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow al company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance, and other operators ot improve equipment performance and production efficiency Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of experience operating and setting up production machinery ni a manufacturing environment preferred Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machine components, adjustments, and basic mechanical systems Experience performing machine setups, changeovers, and tooling adjustments Ability to read work instructions, production orders, and basic technical documentation Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume production workplace Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
