In this role you will:

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies

Support multiple, broad based sampling and monitoring programs and collection of chemical, physical and biological tests (water, biota, sediment)

Apply quality control and quality assurance protocols to monitoring programs

Maintain, repair, and calibrate monitoring and sample collection equipment and instrumentation

Carry out environmental data entry, review, and management

Participate in field investigations and inspections

Coordinate contractor management to ensure work is being conducted safely and in accordance with the project scope

Supervise and monitor environmental projects, such as remediation, maintenance of pollution control infrastructure or programs, and field sampling initiatives

Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in a related industry area, such as Engineering, Environmental Science, Environmental Technology or in an Earth Sciences field, such as Biology, Geography, Forestry,



and Agriculture

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent

Experience in environmental compliance or monitoring in the resource industry

Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations, standards, and effective industry practices

Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite®

$85,000 - $105,000 a year

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
