Position Summary
As Vice President, you will develop strategic sales plans to support the division’s growth by maximizing cross‑sell and upsell opportunities, renewal retention, and optimizing customer experience. You will ensure collaboration, teamwork, and selection and development of technically competent employees to maintain robust client focus and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Strategize and collaborate with all levels of sales and service functions to ensure the best client experience possible.
- Work with the sales team to meet or exceed monthly production targets.
- Ensure all HUB Service guidelines are met and followed to deliver excellence in client care and experience.
- Foster a positive, engaging work environment to attract and retain talent.
- Schedule regular meetings with team members to discuss production, sales strategy, CORE usage, and account receivable management.
- Work collaboratively with other Commercial Lines leaders to ensure procedures and workflows are followed.
- Participate in Critical Path meetings by working with Account Executive/Account Manager to provide value‑added services for clients and follow up on action items.
- Run reports and assist with book of business/account transfers and coding changes.
- Promptly assign new business leads to Account Executives/Account Managers.
- Evaluate books of business and reassign accounts as needed.
- Manage carrier relationships, attend industry functions, and stay up to date on product/appetite changes.
- Ensure compliance with licensing,
account receivables, workflows and non‑renewal processes.
- Work with other departments as needed: operations, claims, marketing, in‑house.
- Provide feedback to VP, Commercial Operations regarding staff performance both informally and formally.
- Continue professional development and learning to enhance technical, soft and insurance skills.
- Provide oversight over the entire New Business and Renewal Process and documentation with responsibility to protect HUB from E&O.;
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills, Characteristics & Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years commercial insurance brokerage experience.
- Minimum 3 years managing and developing talent.
- Proven track record of fostering and maintaining strong client relationships at the management level.
- Industry designation preferred (CAIB, CIP, FCIP, CRM).
- Level 2 general insurance license.
Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $135,000 to $175,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International offers comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages that may include extended health benefits, disability insurance, RRSP matching, paid‑time‑off benefits, eligible bonuses, and commissions for some positions.

Other Requirements
Required Experience: 5‑7 years of relevant experience.
Required Travel: Up to 25%.
