This term role emphasizes competence and confidence in veterinary students through hands-on experience in a supportive environment. As a Primary Care and Preventive Medicine Veterinarian, bring evidence-based practice to guide students in patient examinations and preventive care. You'll supervise final-year students and assist third-year students during vaccination clinics while fostering professional communication and collaboration within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build a diverse small animal caseload for student learning
• Supervise veterinary students during exams and care delivery
• Maintain timely and accurate medical records
• Facilitate clinical skill development during vaccination clinics
• Participate in lectures and student assessment activities
Requirements:
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Minimum two years of clinical practice or internship experience
• Licensed with the Saskatchewan Veterinary Medical Association
• Experience in clinical instruction preferred
• Solid interpersonal and organizational skills
