This permanent part-time position requires a Master’s Degree in Social Work and at least two years of clinical experience, emphasizing family dynamics, mental health, and crisis intervention. As a vital part of the Women's & Newborn Health Program, you will collaborate with an interprofessional team to assist families facing challenges associated with pregnancy, pre-term birth, and loss, ensuring culturally protected care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide counseling to families facing hospitalization stressors
• Conduct psychosocial assessments for individual and family needs
• Liaise with health and community services for resource advocacy
• Supervise and mentor clinical MSW students
• Collaborate with team members for integrated care solutions
Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Social Work
• Current licensing in Nova Scotia
• Minimum two years clinical experience
• Knowledge of infant mental health and family therapy preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
