About the Opportunity Rhyno
Care is seeking an experienced Dietary
Aide to work in Long Term Care facilities in Essex, ON .
You will be hired and onboarded with Rhyno

Responsibilities Serves food to residents according to individual diets and preferences.
Responsible forportioncontrol of food items.
Responsible for safety precautions in assigned areaand reportunsafe incidents or safety concerns to management, Responsible for safe operation of equipment including documenting pot wash, dishwasher, refrigerators and freezer temperatures, andappropriate follow-upas necessary.
Delivery of catering to assigned locations throughout the hospital, including pick-up of dirty dishesfor warewashing.
Observes time limits for meal servingandmaintainfoods at proper servingtemperature.
Assistcooks to clean and prepare uncooked foods,explicit plates and trays, loads andoperatesdishwasher.
Cleanspots,pansand cooking utensils as per procedure.
Participates in proper storage and labeling ofdietarysupplies and food, including leftovers.
Responsible for Check and document temperatures and/or taste of items being prepared and/or served, according to pre-established guidelines and procedures, including HACCP (hazardous analysis critical control point).
Initiate and complete necessary corrective action for unsatisfactory temperature/quality of food and ensureappropriate documentation,
rotating stock and monitoring expiry dates of food and products.
Ensure that only products with the highest integrity are used.
Responsible for proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment,utensilsand individual work areas.

Assembles nourishment carts.
Stocksunit kitchenettes.
Participates in facility meetings as assigned.

Requirements Successful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Actrequired.
Must have Food Handlers Certification approved by Public Health Department Must be able to do moderate to heavy liftingandstand forlong periodsof time.
