Take your Skills to the Next Shutdown – Now Hiring! Ledcor is looking for Skilled Turnaround Labourers to join our team supporting major shutdowns and turnarounds across Alberta’s industrial facilities. If you thrive in fast‑paced outage environments where every hour counts, this is your opportunity to be part of critical work that keeps plants running safely and efficiently. From isolations and tie‑ins to complex maintenance scopes, you’ll play a key role in getting units back online—on schedule and without compromise. This is not routine construction work. It’s high‑intensity, short‑duration execution where skilled tradespeople bring focus, precision, and teamwork to meet demanding turnaround timelines.
Essential Responsibilities: Perform general labour duties to support shutdown and turnaround activities in industrial environments
Assist tradespeople with maintenance, repairs, equipment replacement, and site preparation activities
Handle and move materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently
Conduct housekeeping duties, including cleaning work areas and maintaining an organized job site
Support line break activities, equipment isolation, and other outage-related tasks as directed
Follow all permit, isolation, and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures to ensure safe work execution
Adapt to changing priorities and support critical path activities in a fast‑paced shutdown setting
Maintain productivity and quality standards during extended shifts and compressed project schedules
Participate in FLHAs, toolbox talks, and safety programs while contributing to a strong safety culture
Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople, and other crew members to achieve project objectives
Qualifications: Previous labourer experience in industrial, construction, oil and gas, or maintenance environments is considered an asset

Experience working on shutdowns, turnarounds, or outage projects is a must
Ability to safely use common hand tools and equipment
Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures
Ability to follow directions and work effectively in a team environment
Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions, including lifting, carrying, climbing, and standing for extended periods
Ability to work 10-12+ hour shifts, overtime, and consecutive days during shutdown periods
Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
