The function of this job is to operate and troubleshoot the Air Separation Plant in a safe and efficient manner as described in various procedures, processes and regulatory requirements. Utilizing air separation and cryogenic process knowledge, the process technician works in a team environment where individuals are empowered to set priorities and complete different activities with minimal supervision. Successful candidates must be able to work 12-hour rotating shifts.

Operate, monitor and inspect plant equipment and processes to ensure secure, reliable and efficient operations
Apply troubleshooting expertise to quickly identify, investigate and resolve process deviations and equipment issues
Work with advanced control systems, including electronic, pneumatic and programmable logic controller technologies, to support plant performance
Contribute to maintenance activities, equipment upgrades and plant turnarounds to maximize operational reliability
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency and equipment performance
Safely operate and assess critical equipment such as pumps, motors and compressors to maintain optimal functionality
Collaborate professionally with contractors, customers, visitors and team members to support operational excellence
Champion a strong safety culture by following operational procedures and promoting best practices at all times
What makes you great*
Hold a valid Fourth Class Power Engineering certification and bring relevant industrial operations experience
Demonstrate 3 to 5 years of experience in a continuous 24 hours a day, 7 days a week process operations environment
Thrive in a fast-paced setting by effectively managing multiple priorities with a proactive and self-motivated approach
Read and interpret technical documentation, including piping and instrumentation diagrams and single line wiring diagrams
Use robust computer and technical skills to operate and monitor both manual and highly automated process equipment
Apply analytical thinking and troubleshooting expertise to identify and resolve operational and technical challenges
Maintain a valid driver’s license and flexibility to work overtime when required
Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 25 kilograms, climbing ladders and stairs, working in confined spaces and wearing required personal protective equipment at all times
