Job Title: Welder/Fitter - Custom Metal Fabrications

Location: Burlington, Ontario

Rate of Pay: $35.00/hour to start

Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-4:45pm & Friday, 7:30am-3:45pm (44h/week)

Job Type: Temporary to permanent

Our client in Burlington is hiring for an experienced Skilled Welder/Fitter or Fabricator. Their company has provided custom welding and fabrication services since 1960! This is a long-term opportunity with a busy fabrication shop with lots of room to grow. We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of recent welding experience.

Job Responsibilities:

- Create custom fabrications from drawings
- Plan/fit parts to meet required configurations and positions for welding
- Frequent MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless, and aluminum
- Use of hand and power tools, and other machining equipment
- Use of various finishing techniques as required for specific jobs
- Complete quality inspections
- Use of forklifts and overhead cranes to move product on occasion




- Other general duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in a similar fabricating role required
- 5+ years of MIG welding experience required
- Experience with TIG, stainless, and aluminum preferred
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Experience in reading, interpreting, and understanding shop drawings
- Ability to produce high-quality work and work under minimal supervision
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- Proven time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Works well with others and aids peers when needed
