Writing Clinic Instructor Casual Term Position (Sept 2026 – April 2027) Saskatoon Campus The First Nations University of Canada (FNUniv) allows students of all nations to learn in an environment of First Nations cultures and values. The University continues to uphold its mission of enhancing the quality of life and preserving, protecting, and interpreting First Nations people’s history, language, culture, and artistic heritage. Reporting to the University Librarian, the Writing Clinic Instructor is responsible for: Duties Guiding students through the writing process;

Identifying areas of composition that need improvement;

Helping students in those areas, both online (via Zoom and Teams) and in person. Group sessions may also be needed.

Instructor’s role is to help students learn to manage a wide range of writing skills involved in completing university assignments.

Instructors are also responsible for accurate daily tracking of Writing Clinic traffic using LibInsight.





Qualifications Experience teaching English at high school or post-secondary level

Experienced educator of mature students in a cross-cultural environment

Excel in teaching students with varying academic proficiency in a group setting or one-to-one, as well as online (Zoom or MS Teams)

Strong familiarity with both MLA and APA formats; working knowledge of Chicago is an asset

Superior knowledge surrounding all aspects of English composition including grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation
