The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a positive and engaging learning environment while teaching Quranic recitation with a focus on proper Tajweed and pronunciation to elementary students.
Duties: Teach Quranic recitation with a focus on proper Tajweed and pronunciation to elementary students, using a systematic plan of lessons and discussions.
Prepare courses for presentation according to the approved curriculum, developing lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to varying levels of Quranic proficiency.
Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes students'' physical, mental, and social development, fostering spiritual and personal growth.
Assess students'' progress through the preparation, administration, and correction of tests, providing feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
Evaluate individual learning needs and prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate Islamic values across the curriculum and participate in staff meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.
Assign and grade homework, discussing results with students, parents, and school officials to promote transparency and improvement.
Participate in school events and contribute to a vibrant school culture.
May supervise teachers'' aides and student teachers as necessary.
Requirements: Education: A bachelor''s degree in education.
Work Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of teaching experience.
Skills and Qualifications: Strong proficiency in Quranic recitation with an emphasis on Tajweed.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working with young children. A robust understanding of Islamic values and the ability to serve as a positive role model for students.
Experience working in an Islamic school or community setting is an asset.
Letter of Permission or independent School Certification is required from Ministry of Education A relevant certification in Quranic studies or Islamic education is highly desirable.
Language of work: English.
