Job Title: Heavy Equipment Technician Overview Heavy Equipment Technician working in a hydralift shop, responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing mobile cranes and heavy equipment.

Focus on hydraulic systems, mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and compliant operation.

Responsibilities Assemble and install hydraulic cranes per drawings and specifications Install and service hydraulic components (pumps, valves, cylinders) Mount and align cranes on truck chassis Perform mechanical fitting of booms, outriggers, and structures Test and commission equipment to ensure performance and compliance Troubleshoot and repair cranes, heavy equipment, and trucks Perform preventive maintenance and inspections Interpret schematics, manuals, and work orders Use hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment Follow all safety procedures and shop standards Must-Haves Experience with heavy equipment (cranes, loaders, excavators, forklifts, Strong hydraulic and mechanical troubleshooting skills Crane assembly or mobile crane experience Electrical troubleshooting on heavy equipment Ability to read schematics and technical drawings Proficient with tools and shop equipment Solid safety mindset and reliability Assets Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician / HD Mechanic (or Apprentice) Experience in construction or mining environments Overhead crane experience Forklift experience Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs Why Work Here Stable, long-term work with contract-to-hire pathway Large, multi-year mining and construction projects RRSP matching, benefits, and incentive programs (post-perm) Ongoing training and apprenticeship support Team-oriented shop with consistent day shift Work Environment Hydralift shop setting Monday

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $41.10 - $44.10/hr.
