About Boomerang At Boomerang, we’re on a mission to revolutionize how employers stay connected with their former colleagues. We believe relationships matter and we’re here to provide a simple, affordable, and automated solution that keeps those connections alive.
We are a seed-stage company (~ $12M in venture capital from Tier 1 funds) that has assembled some of the best builders, designers, and product minds to reimagine the future of work.
We're seeking a Product Manager to join our Toronto office as one of our first twenty hires. This is an opportunity to join us on the ground floor, working alongside seasoned founders with a track record of successful companies. As an early member of our team, you'll have the chance to make a significant impact and contribute to our collective vision.
About the Role As our Product Manager, you’ll help shape the direction and growth of Boomerang as we scale. You’ll lead the development of our core platform, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, solve meaningful problems, and deliver thoughtful, user-centered solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, values continuous learning, and enjoys collaborating to turn complex challenges into impactful outcomes. You’ll have a significant influence on both our product and our team culture during a pivotal phase of our journey.
Core Duties Define and articulate business problems, user needs, goals, and product solutions for Boomerang’s core platforms
Proactively manage risks, navigate trade-offs, and make informed decisions that balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
Own the end-to-end product development process - from discovery through delivery - in partnership with design, engineering, and other stakeholders
Gather, analyze, and synthesize user feedback and product data to surface new opportunities, validate ideas, and guide continuous iteration
Run experiments to improve engagement, retention, and overall product value
Facilitate and run regular agile ceremonies,
including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming
Act as the central point of product coordination across teams, ensuring alignment, transparency, and momentum
Skills and Experience 5 - 7 years of experience defining, managing, or launching recent functionality at a growing software or technology company.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Solid understanding of scrum methodologies and the ability to adapt them to specific project needs.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Adaptability and the ability to thrive in a rapid-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Bonus: Experience with SQL, data analytics and building BI dashboards
Flexibility and Logistics: We embrace a hybrid work environment - we encourage you to work where you are most comfortable and join us in the office once a week (and on some special occasions).
Location Toronto, Ontario
Compensation CAD $140,000 - $180,000 (based on experience)
Our Values We believe values aren't just a top-down process but a collective effort. Our values: integrity, balance, growth, and results, guide us in decision-making and shape our behavior. We speak our truth, keep our promises, and trust each other. We embrace failure, curiosity, and continuous improvement. We ask questions without fear of judgment. We value harmony within ourselves, our team, and our community because we understand that it leads to better results. We look at outcomes over outputs and enjoy working hard (and having fun) together.
How We Work We’re not a 9-to-5 company. We push hard when the work demands it and give each other space when it doesn’t. Our culture is grounded in trust and accountability. Our co-founders are seasoned entrepreneurs who know building a company is a marathon, not a sprint. We care deeply about what we’re building and the people building it.
