Infrastructure Engineer Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Infrastructure Engineer with experience designing, building, and maintaining IT infrastructure to place at our client, a top Canadian Bank Client: A top Canadian Bank Terms: 12 months, with opportunity to extend Location Hybrid- 1-day onsite- Downtown Rate: $60-$70/Hr
Primary Responsibilities Proven experience working with both Linux and Windows operating systems
Proficiency in Bash scripting and PowerShell scripting for automation tasks
Solid understanding of file transfer protocols (FTP, SFTP, etc.) and SSH/SSL technologies
A self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Develop and manager Ansible playbooks, roles and workflows for configuration management and automation.
Collaborative spirit and a passion for teamwork
Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications Prior exposure to IT monitoring tools like HP OVO, SCOM, or SiteScope
Experience using scheduling tools such as AutoSys
Familiarity with secure file transfer products like Secure Transport
Ability to write Ruby scripts for automation
Experience with PHP scripting and diagnostics
Knowledge of HP ALM or other QA tools
Understanding of database concepts (SQL, etc.)
Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Chef
Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain servers, network devices, and storage solutions
Implement and configure operating systems and applications
Automate tasks using scripting languages to improve efficiency
Configure and manage user accounts and access controls
Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and implement preventative measures




Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure problems efficiently
Collaborate with other IT professionals and business units to ensure alignment with business goals
Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends and technologies
