The South Lakes Honey Company is looking for an experienced beekeeper to join our team on a part time basis within the Furness area.
As our apiaries continue to expand, we’re looking for someone with practical beekeeping experience who can help manage colonies and support honey production also assist with developing a queen rearing programme.
The role may include:
- Hive inspections
- Swarm prevention and control
- Queen rearing
- Nuc production
- General apiary management
- Record keeping and colony monitoring
Experience with queen rearing would be highly desirable, although experienced beekeepers looking to develop their skills are encouraged to get in touch.
Flexible hours available throughout the beekeeping season.
