Job Description: Fabricates/repairs artificial limbs and braces (prostheses or orthoses) to provide maximum fit, function, appearance and workmanship.

Experience

- No previous experience.
- Two (2) years (3450 hours) training/experience working as a Prosthetics & Orthotics Technician under the supervision of an in office
- Certified professional (or registered technician)



prior to becoming registered

Education

- Orthotic/Prosthetic Technician Program

Licenses

- Registered Technician in Orthotics
- Registered Technician in Prosthetics
- Orthotics Prosthetics Canada

Competencies

- Basic - Computer skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Organizational skills
- Communication skills

Knowledge and Abilities

- Ability to work independently

- Registered with Orthotics Prosthetics Canada as a
- Registered Technician in Orthotics and/or a Registered Technician in Prosthetics
