Material Handler Job Description Our client is a sheet metal manufacturer in the HVAC Industry, and they are looking at hiring 2 Forklift Operator/Material handlers for their Oakville location.

Shift: Dayshift am to 7pm Monday to friday Pay Rate: per hour Location: Oakville, ON Contract to Permanent: Yes, after 3 months probationary period.

Duties: Operate Forklift Safely: Drive and operate forklifts (CB/RR, Reach Truck, Order Picker) safely and efficiently in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Loading and Unloading: Load and unload materials and products from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves using forklift equipment.

Material Handling: Transport materials within the warehouse or production facility to designated areas using forklifts.

Inventory Management: Assist in counting, recording, and maintaining inventory levels.

Quality Control: Inspect and verify goods against purchase orders or invoices to ensure accuracy and quality.

Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.

Maintenance Checks:



Conduct routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any maintenance issues to supervisors.

Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.

Documentation: Complete and maintain accurate documentation and records related to forklift operations and inventory movement.

Adherence to Regulations: Follow all applicable regulations and guidelines regarding forklift operation and workplace safety.
