Box Consulting Group is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to support procurement and sourcing activities within a construction company in Edmonton or Calgary.

This position is well suited to a procurement professional who is proactive, analytical, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities Coordinate procurement activities for goods and services in alignment with category strategies, policies, and operational requirements Build and maintain strong relationships with local operations teams to anticipate procurement needs and support business objectives Support sourcing initiatives, RFx processes, supplier negotiations, and contract implementation activities Manage supplier relationships for equipment, maintenance services, and operational support vendors Compose contracts and agreements using approved templates and procurement guidelines Analyze procurement data, spend trends, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvements Support savings initiatives and monitor procurement KPIs and supplier performance metrics Ensure procurement activities align with safety, compliance, and internal control requirements Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to support operational efficiency and procurement optimization Assist with contractor setup and compliance requirements related to safety and operational standards Requirements Minimum 25 years of procurement experience Experience supporting procurement, sourcing, or supply chain activities within related environments Strong analytical and data management skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and identify trends and savings opportunities Advanced Excel skills and experience using BI.
