This full time, permanent role offers a hybrid work environment focused on strategic intergovernmental relations.As a Senior Policy Advisor, you will report to the Senior Director of Intergovernmental Relations and play a key role in facilitating policy development. You are expected to provide senior-level analysis and foster relationships that advance the Métis Nation’s legislative goals. Your insights will help influence important policy frameworks, ensuring alignment with the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage intergovernmental and legislative policy files for Métis priorities
- Conduct thorough policy research and strategic assessments
- Engage with federal departments to promote Métis issues
- Develop advocacy strategies and policy positions
- Lead pre-budget and funding submissionsRequirements:
- Master’s degree or equivalent with 5-10 years experience
