Senior Transportation Planner / Modeller - Toronto / GTA Duties and Responsibilities: As part of a transportation planning team, the successful applicant will: Take a lead role in the analysis of travel forecasts and traffic modelling for a broad variety of transportation planning projects including transportation master plans, major new corridor studies, transit planning studies and land development projects; Analyze and evaluate alternative road, transit and travel demand management strategies; Prepare technical memos, reports and proposals; Supervise and participate in the collection of traffic count data and preparation of inventories of road facilities; Train and mentor junior staff; and Undertake research and analysis of land use, demographic and travel data.

Qualifications: Degree/diploma from a recognized University/College program in Engineering,



Planning or related field with a minimum of eight years related experience, preferably in a consulting environment; Robust working knowledge of transportation planning principles, processes and practices; Working experience with transportation planning models such as Emme/2, Emme/3, System II, Trans

Cad is essential.

Experience with micro-simulation models such as VISSIM, VISIM, Paramics, etc. desirable.

Strong interpersonal skills; Well-developed computer and analytical skills; Strong report writing and presentation skills; and Valid drivers license and availability of vehicle for site visits, meetings, etc.
