We are looking for an experienced Staff Accountant to join a finance team just outside of Ottawa, Ontario west-end.

This position is suited to someone who is detail oriented and can manage month-end activities, support annual financial reporting, and help maintain accurate accounting records.

The successful candidate will bring solid technical accounting knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to work effectively within established deadlines.

Responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.

Lead key month-end accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, and review of general ledger activity.

Coordinate year-end financial preparation by organizing records,



assisting with closing activities, and supporting external reporting requirements.

Review financial data to identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and help maintain reliable accounting information.

Ensure accounting documentation is complete, well-organized, and aligned with internal controls and reporting standards.

Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to gather financial information required for recurring and annual reporting.

Contribute to continuous improvement in accounting processes to strengthen efficiency and reporting quality.
