A Day in the Life of a Project Manager at Esri Canada:
- Plan and deliver assigned Professional Services projects from initiation through close‑out, following established project management practices and delivery standards.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resources for defined work packages or full projects of moderate complexity.
- Coordinate project activities and task assignments across consultants, analysts, and technical resources within a matrix delivery workplace.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, and escalating as required.
- Maintain project documentation, schedules, financial tracking, and status reporting to support transparency and control.
- Support stakeholder communications by providing regular updates, facilitating meetings, and managing expectations under guidance as needed.
- Apply quality management practices to ensure project deliverables meet agreed requirements and standards.
- Contribute to project scoping, estimating, and planning activities for new or change initiatives, with guidance from senior project managers.

Minimum Education Requirement:
- Post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, GIS, or a related field.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirement:




- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in project coordination or project management within a consulting, professional services, or technology delivery environment.

Additional Requirements:
- Proven ability to apply standard project management methodologies, tools, and processes in a structured delivery environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities concurrently.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify issues and support resolution.
- Working knowledge of project financial tracking, including budgets, forecasts, and change control.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Working towards Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent formal project management training is considered an asset.
- Exposure to enterprise GIS solution delivery, including projects involving asset management or permitting systems such as Trimble Cityworks or similar platforms, is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with how GIS and asset management technologies (e.g., Esri ArcGIS and Trimble‑based solutions) are applied within client delivery or professional services project environments is considered an asset.
- Bilingual proficiency (English / French) is considered an asset.
