American Iron & Metal is hiring a Shredder Cleaner for the afternoon shift. This role emphasizes detail-oriented cleaning practices to ensure the efficient operation of shredding equipment.

As a Shredder Cleaner, you will work from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, cleaning and maintaining the shredders, conveyor systems, and surrounding areas. This position is crucial for preventing contamination and supporting overall safety protocols in an industrial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain cleanliness of shredding equipment and screens
- Remove unwanted non-metallic objects and dirt
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) for safety
- Follow lockout/tagout and other safety procedures
- Organize debris removal and housekeeping tasks

Requirements:

- Previous experience in industrial cleanup desired
- Positive physical condition for standing and lifting tasks
- Keen attention to detail for effective contaminant removal
- Capability to work independently and collaboratively
- Effective communication with supervisors and team members
