Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

This posting is for an existing vacancy. Our client in Brampton, ON is actively looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team.

Position Description

- Processed and audited 600+ high-volume carrier invoices across multiple branch locations, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Identified and investigated invoice discrepancies by comparing billed amounts against system rates and contractual agreements.
- Researched and resolved billing variances related to freight rates, shipment weight, accessorial charges, and special contract provisions.
- Collaborated with branch teams to obtain approvals for billing discrepancies and additional charges, maintaining effective invoice processing timelines.




- Followed up with internal stakeholders to ensure prompt resolution and approval of outstanding invoice issues.
- Reconciled vendor statements and resolved account discrepancies through effective communication with vendors and internal departments.
- Maintained accurate financial records while supporting compliance with company policies and transportation contracts.
- Assisted with additional accounting, accounts payable, and administrative duties as assigned.
