JOB SUMMARY: : A position as an Interpreter/Educational Assistant for Deaf students in an elementary school setting.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- fluent user of American Sign Language (ASL)
- experience with Deaf culture and the Deaf community
- a preference for a graduate from an ASL interpreter training program
- training and/or experience with students in the elementary educational setting
- skills in mentoring children with a variety of learning needs and language levels
- effective in working as a team member with Teacher of the Deaf, Deaf role model, classroom teachers, and other ASL interpreters
- successful related experience

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

- As per Collective Agreement.
- 6.0 hrs/day
- To begin August 31, 2026 (and continue to June 29, 2027 (if an elementary assignment) of June 30,



2027 (if a high school assignment), or earlier if the needs of the division change)
- Salary range - $29.89 - $34.29 per hour
