About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values

and ensures that those values guide all decisions.



Creating a caring environment for patients and families ensures

continuity of care and fosters a learning environment. Applicants are required to have a demonstrated knowledge,

understanding and commitment to this care philosophy.

Under the general direction of the Manager, Complex and Chronic Disease, the Clerk assists in the administration of

the program by performing clerical functions associated with the health care team.

Qualifications/Experience

- Secondary school diploma with a certificate in Secretarial Arts/Office Administration or equivalent experience (1

year minimum)

- Minimum 2 years recent experience (during past 5 years) in an Acute Care Health setting
- Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
- Administrative and computer skills to include spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications (MS

Word, Excel, Publisher, Groupwise, Community Wide Scheduling)

- Experience with Meditech Information Systems
- Experience generating technical reports from multiple data sources
- Data quality auditing experience
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology and standard abbreviations particularly in the Complex Chronic

Medical field

- Superior interpersonal communication skills (verbal, written, keyboard, telephone)
- Radiates a positive attitude and collaborative approach to Interprofessional colleagues
- Highly motivated & organized individual with the ability to prioritize activities independently




- Excellent problem solving ability related to technical systems and potential process flow improvements

Salary Range: $27.083 to 27.772

have to demonstrate a good attendance record to be considered for this position.
