The Crossing Resort is a full-service gas station and as such the Gas Station Attendant is primarily responsible for delivering exceptional customer/guest service while ensuring optimum safety in and around the gas pump area. The attendant reports any malfunctioning equipment or issues work orders for the repair/s.

Responsibilities

· Greets, responds to fuel type and amount, pumps fuel, washes vehicle windows and if asked, checks oil levels.

· Accurately takes cash or POS payments, completing cash out at shifts end.

· Performs light office duties, replenishes daily supplies i.e. POS paper, ink cartridges, etc.

· Cleans and tidies workstation, manager’s office and gas station washroom, emptying garbage/recycling bins regularly both inside and outside.

· Replenishes vehicle related products in display i.e. oil, windshield washer.

· Knowledgeable of Banff Park and general Alberta geography so as to provide accurate directions and/or advice for travel for locals and foreigners alike.

· Bag ice and stock General Store and guest service ice coolers.

· Cleans up gas spills using neutralizing agent and cloths.





· Monitors and records daily vehicle traffic.

· Performs daily inspection of all equipment.

· Wash and detail company vehicles.

· Familiar with the locations of the RV dumping station, air pump and outside water tap.

· Willing to work shift work, weekdays, weekends and holidays.

Skills/Qualifications

· Exemplary customer service skills.

· Completed Grade 12 or have a GED equivalent.

· Handle difficult customer situations and complaints.

· Fluent in English (speak, read and write).

· Works well under pressure.

· Works independently as well as in a team environment.

· Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach and kneel repeatedly.

· Must be able to lift 25kg periodically.

· Propane Handling training is preferred.
