Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman/woman to join our agile manufacturing and construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and hands-on skills to a variety of projects. As a key contributor, you will perform complex fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair tasks that keep our operations running smoothly. Your expertise in welding, blueprint reading, and mechanical systems will be essential in delivering high-quality results efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Execute welding tasks using MIG, TIG, and other welding techniques to meet project specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and installation processes.
- Perform HVAC system maintenance, repairs, and installations ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulations.
- Utilize hand tools, calipers, and other precision measurement tools to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Conduct rigging activities for lifting and positioning heavy equipment or materials safely during construction or manufacturing projects.
- Assist with plumbing installations and repairs as needed to support facility operations.
- Maintain mechanical systems through routine inspections, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman/woman in manufacturing or construction environments with demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, HVAC, and rigging.
- Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity of hand tools, calipers, basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Experience working with schematics related to plumbing, mechanical systems, or electrical components is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding (including welding certifications), rigging, manufacturing processes, and construction practices.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of maintenance procedures for various mechanical systems is a plus.
