Are you passionate about evidence-based literacy and math instruction and making a real impact? socialskilled is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and relationship-focused Direct Instruction Tutor to deliver 1:1 reading, spelling, writing, and math sessions using Reading Mastery, Spelling Mastery, Expressive Writing, PRISM Math, and JUMP Math.

What You'll Do

- Deliver 1:1 literacy and math instruction to children and teens (no group work!)
- Use structured, evidence-based programs to build solid foundational skills
- Deliver lessons using Reading Mastery, Spelling Mastery, Expressive Writing, PRISM Math, and JUMP Math
- Track student progress and maintain mastery standards
- Collaborate with a supportive, neurodiversity-affirming team
- Create a positive, engaging learning environment where students can thrive

Who We're Looking For

This position is intended for educators. Applicants should be one of the following:

- Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT)
- Teacher Candidate currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Education program and nearing graduation




- An educator with significant experience delivering evidence-based literacy and/or math instruction

You should also have:

- Experience with Direct Instruction programs (or a willingness to complete paid training)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- A passion for supporting neurodivergent learners
- Availability for in-person sessions in Newmarket
- Availability on Saturdays and/or Sundays
