Morning Baker / Donut Decorator

Location: Maverick's Donut Company – Stittsville & Bank Street, Ottawa

We're looking for an enthusiastic and dependable team member who enjoys working early mornings and takes pride in creating great products.

This position is primarily for early morning baking and donut decorating. There may also be opportunities to pick up occasional evening cashier shifts if it works with your availability and store needs.

Responsibilities

- Bake fresh donuts each morning following company recipes and procedures.
- Decorate donuts with glazes, toppings, and custom finishes to company standards.
- Prepare icings, glazes, fillings, and other ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with daily bakery preparation and other duties as required.
- Provide customer service and operate the cash register during occasional evening shifts,



if available.

Qualifications

- Available to start work at 5:00 AM.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Previous baking, decorating, or food service experience is an asset but not required—we are happy to train the right person.

Transportation

Because shifts begin as early as 5:00 AM, applicants must have reliable transportation. A personal vehicle is preferred, or you should have your own dependable way of getting to work, as public transit may be limited or unavailable at that time.

Work Location

This position may include shifts at both of our locations:

- 1408 Stittsville Main Street, Unit 1
- 1500 Bank Street, Unit 36

Being able to work at both locations is preferred, as shifts may be scheduled between the two stores based on operational needs.
