Journeyman Cabinet Maker

Overview

New Generation Cabinets is currently expanding their team. New Generation Cabinets was established in 2007 and takes pride in serving all customers with a genuine and skilled experience.

We will be considering

· Permanent full-time Cabinet Makers

We are looking for cheerful and motivated people with experience in all levels of millwork and cabinetry production. Candidates must excel in organization and communication, must display a clean and respectful workplace and be able to solve problems and convey concerns to the Team in an efficient and positive manner.

Responsibilities and Duties

· Be able to read production drawings and understand kitchen concepts with the build and intended design

· Be knowledgeable in kitchen hardware installation and operation of the hardware

· Be aware of the production goals and deadlines on a daily basis

· Prepare specifications

· Mark outlines or dimensions of parts on wood





· Use hand tools to assemble drawer boxes and cabinets as well as utilizing appropriate kitchen or other hardware and accessories

· Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, and shapers, and use woodworking and other hand tools to cut, shape and form parts and components

· Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit using glue and clamps and reinforce joints using nails, screws or other fasteners

· Work with Foreman to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner

· Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment

· Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

· Journeyman certification is required

· At least 3 years of experience in a similar role

· Highly organized

· Able to follow direction and work both independently and collaboratively with a team

· Able to meet deadlines and maintain a high quality of workmanship

· Able to read and understand production drawings

· Ability to lift 80lbs

· CNC experience is a benefit

Wages/ Compensation

New Generation cabinets offers full benefits to all fulltime employees

Hourly rate based on experience and performance.

Starting Rate $23.00-$35.00 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
