Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman and Apprentice Heavy Equipment Technicians to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of On Road Truck Trailer and associated equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical background, proficiency with hand and power tools, electrical and Hydraulic diagnosis. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting our operations across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance to diesel engines, transmissions, rear ends, differentials, electrical/electronics, power systems, hydraulic systems, and other service work as required.
- Completes all maintenance and repair activities in a safe manner and ensures work area is clean and organized according to company policies and procedures
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery
- Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed
- Assist with equipment assembly and installation projects




- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients regarding repair status and maintenance needs

Skills

- Proven experience in Heavy Equipment repair
- Skilled in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical diagnostics, and schematics interpretation
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and repair tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment as needed
- Experience with automotive repair is a plus but not required
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Strong customer service orientation with effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments

Shifts 14 days on 14 days off.

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $55.00-$58.00 per hour

Experience:

- Heavy Duty Mechanical: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Red Seal (required)
