Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns processing, and inventory control.
- Plan daily labour requirements and assign tasks based on order volume, operational priorities, and shipping deadlines.
- Supervise warehouse associates and ensure daily operations are completed accurately, safely, and efficiently.
- Coordinate with staffing agencies regarding temporary warehouse labour, attendance, staffing needs, and daily workforce requirements.
- Monitor warehouse performance metrics, including productivity, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, fulfillment timelines, and labour efficiency.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and system variances.
- Train, coach, and support warehouse employees on standard operating procedures, quality standards, equipment usage, and safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse workplace in compliance with company policies and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Identify and resolve operational issues related to order accuracy, product damage, shipping delays, inventory discrepancies, and labour planning.
- Coordinate with logistics, customer service, procurement, and other departments to support daily operations.
- Work with carriers and logistics partners to support smooth inbound and outbound shipments.
- Identify process improvements and recommend solutions to improve warehouse efficiency, workflow, and cost control.
- Prepare daily warehouse reports and operational updates; escalate critical issues to management.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, fulfillment, or 3PL environments.
- Previous experience supervising warehouse teams or leading daily floor operations is preferred.
- Experience with e-commerce fulfillment, Amazon FBA, retail distribution, or returns processing is an asset.
- Familiarity with WMS, ERP systems, barcode scanners, handheld terminals, and shipping systems.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices, WHMIS, and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Forklift certification or experience operating warehouse equipment is an asset.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse with high-bay racking systems, high-density storage, or multi-level storage environments is highly preferred.
- Experience managing warehouse operations involving high racking systems, inventory slotting, and safe material handling practices is an asset.

Pay: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
