Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Small Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational performance. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about mechanical work, with a focus on hands-on repairs and technical problem-solving. Repairs include, but are not limited to, power trowels, rebar benders, concrete vibrators, floor grinders & polishers, portable cement mixers, generators and saws of all types. Working with the service writer to ensure parts and times are written against the repair.

Duties & Skills

- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on small equipment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with minimum 3-years’ experience in automotive repair or heavy machinery maintenance
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to restore equipment functionality
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately and efficiently
- Maintain detailed work orders of repairs, parts used,



and maintenance performed in accordance with company standards
- Assist with electrical repairs on equipment with electrical components or wiring systems and electrical troubleshooting
- Communicate effectively with customers or team members regarding repair status and recommendations for ongoing maintenance or sales opportunities
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly, with Forklift and/or hoist
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
- Experience in sales or recommending appropriate parts or services based on customer needs is advantageous

Pay: From $26.00 per hour
