Job Summary

Travel Transport is a Flatbed and Roll-Tite cross-border carrier between Canada and the United States. Today, we operate anywhere between Canada and the United States. Travel Transport has an opening for a full-time dispatcher position at our office based in Brampton , ON. The dispatcher will be responsible for the effective management of our fleet.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Min. Experience: 2 years (ROLLTITE & FLATBED)

Duties:

- Dispatch pickups and deliveries to the drivers
- Monitor driver's performance and miles.
- Assist with solutions regarding drivers' concerns.
- Prevent empty mileage
- Ensure on-time service for all pickups and deliveries
- Assign trips and movements in the system
- Report available trucks
- Minimize driver delays and reports
- Take messages and calls from drivers
- Reports driver issues
- Provide drivers their work schedule
- Plan work for the following day
- Communicate and solve issues with Customers.
- Update Customers as required.




- Other work-related duties as assigned.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years dispatch experience (Within Canada / U.S)
- Knowledge of Transportation industry.
- Familiarity with Dispatch Software.
- Understanding of Canada/US geography.
- Working ability with MS Word and Excel.
- Exceptional Interpersonal skills.
- Strong Attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Creative and effective problem solving ability.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
