Mechanical Engineer
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support their expanding engineering and construction operations in Alberta. With decades of experience in the industry, our client is a well-established firm specializing in both construction and design-build projects. Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating project scopes, designs, and technical documentation tailored to client needs.
- Support engineers and project managers with planning, scheduling, estimating, and reporting.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Conduct quantity take-offs, material lists, and cost estimates.
- Contribute to the development and review of P&IDs; and process flow diagrams.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and field teams.
- Assist with procurement activities and vendor document reviews.
- Perform field reviews, site measurements, and as-built documentation as needed.
- Support project scheduling and progress tracking.
- Participate in safety reviews and quality control processes.

Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE)
designation.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related engineering technology field.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, process piping, equipment layouts, and industrial construction practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.;
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
- Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D or other 3D design software and asset.
- Familiarity with HVAC, piping systems, tanks, or process equipment an asset.
