S&R; Sawmills has a long history of Custom Cutting in the Lower Mainland. We are a family run business that was established in 1963 and currently has a workforce of over 300 employees on a large strip of the Fraser River. Role Description:

Reporting to the Head Electrician, Electricians are responsible for safely performing quality work and preventative maintenance on all plant systems and machinery. We have a wide variety of industrial equipment

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Maintain, replace and repair plant systems and machinery, reporting to your supervisor daily
- Protected operation and start-up of equipment
- Minimize downtime by identifying and repairing breakdowns before they happen
- Follow preventative maintenance plan
- Work in a safe manner following all Lock Out and Safe Work Procedures
- Correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Identify, protect, and report safety hazards to management or a member of the safety committee

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:





- Red Seal Industrial Electrician Certification
- Familiar with GE and Allen Bradley PLCs
- Experience with Motor Controls and VFDs
- Previous IT experience
- Sawmill experience an asset
- Valid BC Driver's License
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised to get tasks done in a timely manner
- Good communication skills and strong command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Must be able to work Tuesday - Saturday and have flexible shift availability, including mornings, afternoons and evenings
