Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring smooth food service operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food industry standards, food safety, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in food handling or restaurant settings is a plus but not required, as training will be provided.

Duties

- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and basic dishes under supervision
- Handle food safely and hygienically, adhering to all food safety regulations
- Serve meals to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and ingredients
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy service periods to ensure timely delivery of meals

Qualifications

- Prior experience in food service,



restaurant, or food industry is preferred but not mandatory
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards is advantageous
- Ability to perform meal preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Willingness to learn new skills related to kitchen operations and food safety regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting moderate loads as needed

Pay: $17.85-$20.00 per hour
