Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Safety Officer with robust Industrial and Construction safety background, to join our construction management team. The Safety Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all personnel and compliance with relevant safety regulations. This role is vital in fostering a safety-conscious environment, minimizing risks, and promoting best practices in construction operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction experience, a proactive approach to safety management, and familiarity with construction management software to streamline safety processes.

Duties

- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Develop and enforce safety policies aligned with local regulations and industry best practices.
- Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings as required
- Lead safety training sessions for current and existing staff to promote awareness and compliance.
- Investigate incidents or accidents thoroughly, documenting findings and recommending corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to integrate safety measures into daily operations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incident reports, and corrective actions.




- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and enforce its proper use on-site.
- Coordinate with external safety agencies during audits or inspections to ensure compliance.
- Utilize construction management software to track safety metrics, generate reports, and improve safety workflows.

Skills

- Proven experience in construction safety management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of local health and safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
- Proficiency with construction management software for reporting, documentation, and communication.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train staff and liaise with regulatory bodies.
- Ability to identify hazards proactively and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Leadership qualities with a focus on fostering a culture of safety among diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented approach ensuring thorough documentation and compliance adherence.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
